For these services clients should not wear mascara for at least 24 hours before eyelash tint.
For best results do not use oil makeup remover, just soap on your eyelashes for the 24 hours before your appointment.
Hydrate!
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink plenty of water and use hydrating oil on the skin for a few days before your appointment.
Sugaring can enhance your skin, however, using a razor or hair removal cream between sessions can hinder your goal to eliminate hair growth.
Hydrating and exfoliating your skin between sessions can achieve best results.
During menstruation, women may also experience sensitivity and it is recommended to avoid appointments during this time.
Some individuals may be more sensitive to sugaring and waxing than others. Some signs of sensitivity include small red spots due to root-hair removal, becoming sensitive to sun exposure or sensitivity to soaps and perfumes.
Cleanse:
Please shower before your appt or at least the same day as your appointment. The skin harbors natural bacteria that can often be just fine until it is moved to a more delicate place on the skin and can cause a breakout or sensitivity. Better safe than sorry!
Antihistamine:
If you normally get razor rash or bumps, you might need some extra enforcements to avoid those annoyances.Other clients have found the following tips helpful:
( this is only a recommendation, not medical advice. Please check with your physician regarding any of the above ideas. In some cases your physician may also prescribe you lidocaine if you are sensitive).
I have seen that skin will get used to the sugaring hair removal and will eventually stop sending “histamines” – those protective cells that cause inflammation and red bumps to occur. Over time your skin will realize that hair removal is not an attack.
Things to avoid:
It is recommended to avoid soaps and other perfumed products for at least 24 hours after a sugaring session, and wait 24 hours before exposing your skin to the sun or sunlamps.
Hydrate!
Drink water and use a hydrating oil on the skin. Vitamin E or Coconut Oils are best for you and can be found at a local health store or a supercenter, like Wal-Mart.
Antihistamine:
If you normally get razor rash or bumps you can combat some of those annoyances with an antihistamine or by cleansing with an antibacterial soap. Eventually your skin will adapt to sugaring and reduce the amount of red bumps or irritation.
